Tumor Update

OK I've finished a month of chemo and a month of radiation therapy wears me out,I'll tell ya. I still can't do much w/left hand, no writing, no keyboarding. Shirt buttons are still hard

well I spent a month in the hospital and rehab I had to learn to walk(entire left side paralyzedand am learning to use left hand including writing,typing, etc.long way to go....

It's a grade 3 or 4 astrocytoma. The plan is to remove as much of it as possible (hopefully 100%) in an awake craniotomy on Monday Nov 24. This is a 4-5 hour major surgery (or as long as it takes). The tumor is in the right front parietal lobe (I think I have that right), so it has the potential to affect things on my left side, (arm/hand motion, cheek/tongue muscles. It is affecting my speech a little, probably exerting pressure on some of the nerves in there.

I have a brain tumor

Well that's a surprise. Not sure how it's all going to play out. Surgery pending. Will keep you posted.
